입 다시 트기 + 영어공부

예전에 공부하면서 가장 좋아했던 한 구절이 있다.

 

"Give it a shot" : 시도해봐, 그냥 해봐

어학연수를 다녀온 이후에 교환학생을 도전해볼까 하는 시점에 원어민 교수님과 하는 수업중에서 프레젠테이션을 해야하는 조별과제가 있었고, 그때 주제가 내가 좋아하는 구절 설명하는것이였다.

 

해당 구절은 TED 에서 영상을 보다가 "Give it a shot for the next 30 days" 라는 문장을 듣게되었고, 거기에 꽂혀버렸다.

 

MBTI가 ISFJ라 계획적으로 살아야하는 성격을 갖고 있었지만, 이것저것 경험하고 해보다보니 해보는것의 중요성을 알게 되었고, 어느샌가 머릿속에 그냥 해보는거지 라는 생각을 갖고 있게 되어서 더 끌리는 문장인것 같다.

 

아래는 "Give it a shot"과 같은 뜻을 가진 문장들이다.

 

글만 적기엔 너무 내용이 부족한 포스팅인것 같아 동의어처럼 쓸 수 있는것들을 함께 포스팅한다.

 

1. "Try it out"으로 시작하는 문장

2. "Give it a try"로 시작하는 문장

• If you're curious about the new restaurant, I suggest you give it a try.

3. "Take a stab at it"으로 시작하는 문장

• I'm not sure how to solve this problem, but I'll take a stab at it.

• Even if you're unsure, it's always worth taking a stab at it.

 

4. "Have a go at it"으로 시작하는 문장

• The game looks fun. Why don't you have a go at it?
• I've never played the guitar, but I'm willing to have a go at it.
• The project seems difficult, but I'll have a go at it and see what happens.

 

5. "Experiment with it"으로 시작하는 문장

• If you want to improve your cooking skills, you should experiment with different recipes.
• The artist likes to experiment with different art techniques to create unique pieces.
• Don't be afraid to experiment with it and see what you can discover.
